Ready to move, or just have a question? Your choice determines whether Punchy uses your camera or microphone.
- Camera training
Show your movement as you practice with the AI coach. Pose and punch analysis happens on your device; still images, audio, and other coaching information also go to the AI.

Talk with the AI coach without using your camera. Microphone audio is still sent to the AI.

Type a question about technique or practice. The AI uses the text you send and the conversation context to respond.

When you use the camera, movement analysis and AI coaching are two separate processes.
Pose and punch analysis runs on your device
The image analysis that detects your pose and punches runs in the browser you're using.
Information for AI coaching goes to Google
Depending on how you use Punchy, intermittent camera stills, microphone audio, and chat text are sent through Punchy's server to Google's Gemini AI. Settings needed for a response, your optional nickname, detected punches, and summaries of past practice are also sent to Google.

We also handle logs to understand usage, prevent misuse, and investigate service issues. Google's handling of information depends on the applicable agreement, settings, and terms.

On the device you use.
Practice records, journal entries, and weight saved with the free record features are stored in your browser, on your device.
They don't automatically sync to another browser or device. Your journal and weight are not automatically synced to the cloud either. See “AI and your data” above for the training information used in coaching.
Export the records you want to keep
Clearing browser data or using private browsing can cause records to be lost. Check the data export option in the app's settings, including before you change devices.

Daily allowances reset at midnight UTC. After your AI allowance runs out, lessons, self-practice, the gym timer and on-device records remain free. Coach pricing, billing periods and usage limits are undecided. Coach is not for sale yet.

We plan for you to enter your card number directly on a checkout page hosted by Stripe.
Return to Punchy and use your purchase
We plan to check payment status and make the purchased service available.
How payment information would be handled
Stripe may share billing details, such as your name or email address, with Punchy. We're designing Punchy's storage to keep only the information needed to confirm access, such as purchase IDs, subscription status, and expiry dates.
Stripe would handle payment processing. Punchy would remain responsible for its service, terms of use, and support.
Subscriptions and changing devices
If we offer a subscription, we will show the price, tax, included services and usage limits, automatic renewal, cancellation, and refund terms before purchase. Restoring a purchase in another browser or on another device is also in preparation.
